Cindy R. Dionisio is a CSULB alumna with a double major in Spanish Translation and Italian Studies. Her nine years singing with the St. Matthew’s Church choir quietly shaped the way she listens, reflects, and expresses meaning—an influence that resonates in her writing.

Drawn to language from the age of fifteen, Cindy approaches words not merely as tools for communication, but as a way of understanding the world. She values observation, questioning, and attending to the unspoken, viewing writing as an act of deep attention.

Her literary journey has been shaped by a rich array of influences: Charlotte Brontë showed her the boundless possibilities of literature, Laura Pausini awakened her artistic voice, and Daniel Quinn challenged her worldview. These influences, alongside a profound reverence for nature and truth, continue to guide her work and her approach to life.
